This unit is an early mid 1990s to late 2000s vintage
Panametrics DL26 straight-beam ultrasonic flaw detector/thickness gauge with original carrying case, rubber protective boot and hand strap. It utilizes
C- type batteries
, either rechargeable or non-rechargeable varieties, this  particular unit has a rechargeable C battery pack included. If using regular "C" batteries, it requires
four
of those. Some shops like these units because the calibrate automatically when a probe is connected. This auction DOES include original user's manual. I can send the buyer a PDF manual which can be printed on any printer. These units were purchased new for just under 00.00 each with no sensors....

These units may be calibrated in either SAE/Imperial or metric units of measure.
The meter
Panametrics DL26
is a manual straight-beam type unit for thickness measurement based on a microprocessor and a data logger.
It can measure wall thicknesses remaining in a wide range of components, including pipes, tanks and other parts subject to loss of thickness due to corrosion or erosion.
Measurements can also be made through layers, such as paint and exclude the thickness of the measurement layer.
Two LEMO ports are provided for to allow for use of both single and dual plug transducer probes (photo 2).
Pictured unit
(by serial number) is the unit you will receive. These units have been tested and are fully functional. This unit is in Good++++ to Very Good cosmetic condition. The battery compartment area is clean and there has been minimal leakage, if any. This unit has been conscientiously maintained and was working when pulled from the field. The unit will most likely require calibration by the next user. Manuals (if not included) are available online. The carrying case has been well used, but has performed its function
by keeping the unit safe and will still do that effectively. The case is a little rough however it is in Good condition cosmetically and Fair functionally with duct tape replacing a cracked hinge (photo 3).
