This unit is a late 1990s through early 2000s vintage
Panametrics 36DL Plus straight-beam ultrasonic flaw detector/thickness gauge with original Panametrics carrying case, padded plastic protective boot and hand strap. It utilizes
a factory battery pack (included)
, that consists of 5 NiCad "C"1.5V "C" cells with charger/AC adapter. This auction DOES include original user's manual.  These units were purchased new for over 00.00 each with no sensors....
We have a total of 3 of the 36DL Plus units (working) left for sale, including this one, plus three parts units.....

These units may be calibrated in either SAE/Imperial or metric units of measure. (The photos 8, 9, 10 show the manual entry for how to select the units type)
A fully functional calibration block is included (last photo) for velocity .226 and .050 and 1.500 is included.
The meter
Panametrics 36DL Plus
is a manual straight-beam type unit for thickness measurement based on a microprocessor.
It can measure wall thicknesses remaining in a wide range of components, including pipes, tanks and other parts subject to loss of thickness due to corrosion or erosion.
Measurements can also be made through layers, such as paint and exclude the thickness of the measurement layer.
A two-way interface enables the transfer of this data to a printer or computer, including A scan images and remote programming of the 36DL Plus meter from a personal computer.
Two LEMO ports are provided for to allow for use of both single and dual plug transducer probes (photo 6).
Pictured unit
(by serial number) is the unit you will receive. This unit (photo 1) is in Fine++++ to Very Fine cosmetic condition - a very clean unit.....!! The battery compartment area is clean and there has been NO leakage. This unit has been conscientiously maintained and was working when pulled from the field and was re-tested as to automatic  with a probe. The NiCad power pack accepts a charge and appears to be working. The unit will most likely require calibration by the next user. Manuals (if not included) are available online. The carrying case has been well used, but has performed its function
by keeping the unit safe and will still do that effectively. The original open cell foam lining is still intact and is useable. The case is a little rough however it is in Good condition cosmetically and Very Good to Fine functionally.
