    DESCRIPTION:
The nutrient is a unique mushroom. It has a lot of zinc, complex carbohydrates, called polysaccharides, proteins from mushrooms contain all the essential amino acids needed in our diet, they contain a lot of leucine and lysine.
Mushrooms are richer in amino acids than soy beans, beans, chestnuts, or corn. Dried shiitake mushrooms discovered ergosterol. But surprisingly, shiitake is producing vitamin D, ergosterol is converted into vitamin D if the mushrooms get enough sunlight or the artificial irradiation by ultraviolet rays. The content of vitamin D in shiitake increases 2.5 times after 3 hours of exposure to sunlight for the fungus.
Shiitake mushroom contains amino acids and fiber, which help to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 45%, speeding up their processing and removing its excess from the body. Shiitake can also lower blood sugar in diabetes, to fight allergies. It favorably affects virtually all body systems. According to Chinese medicine, the consumption of this mushroom increases resistance to stress and increases life expectancy.
Thus, the shiitake mushrooms used in increased cholesterol in the blood; diseases related to the weakening of the immune system; viral infections; cardiovascular diseases; chronic fatigue syndrome, and some forms of cancer, such as the stomach, prostate, (only your doctor). For medical purposes are usually consumed 0.2-0.5 oz (6-16 grams) of dried shiitake mushrooms per day in the form of soups or broth.
    Package includes about 100 seeds
    HOW TO PLANT:
The preparation of seeds is the most important part of the planting process. The result depends on how you have prepared the seeds.
As a rule, shiitake mushrooms, cultivation which occurs on freshly cut stumps, based on natural technologies. Perfect stumps of chestnut, hornbeam, beech, or oak. Trees cut down after the leaves fall until the beginning of SAP flow (dormant period). It was during this period of calm, the level of sugars in the wood is at a high level. The wood itself should not be infected with spores of other fungi (fungus, mold). The dimensions of the bars must be 60' (1.5 m) in length, diameter up to 8' (20 cm) Bars must be damaged bark, a large core, and a thin layer of sapwood (podgoria). Humidity should not be below 35% and above 70%. Usually to maintain the bars placed in the shade of the covering material, preventing contact with the ground. If there is moss or lichen, they are removed with a wire brush with bark. Sowing mycelium or pure cultures can be made within 1-3 months.
Before the laying of the mycelium of shiitake, bars drill holes, so they were staggered (drill, you need to handle alcohol). Holes drilled through 8' (20 cm) in a row spaced 4' (10 cm) depth should be about 15'-20' (40-50 cm), drill diameter – 0.3' (8 mm). Substrate mycelium pushed and compacted and close immediately the wood plugs using a hammer. The top must be covered with wax or paraffin. All stumps stacked woodpile or wells, creating optimal conditions for the development of mycelium in the wood. Incubation can be performed in the forest, or in specially prepared areas (greenhouses, sheds). The optimum temperature for incubation is 20 to 26 degrees. The incubation period lasts from 6 to 18 months. The duration depends on the number of seeds, the conditions, and the strain of shiitake.
Amateur cultivation of mycorrhizal and other soil mushrooms doesn’t give a guaranteed result because the harvest of mushrooms depends so much on the weather and many other factors. Nevertheless, if you “get your hand in it” and gain enough experience in the cultivation of mycorrhizal mushrooms, as well as with certain zeal, you can expect good results.
Attention! A very important factor for the successful cultivation of mushrooms is the acidity of the soil. For this mushroom, the optimum acidity is Ph = 6,5 - 7. A more acidic soil (Ph is less than mentioned) must be deoxidized with a solution of quicklime (at the rate of 3 of lime per gallon of water per 10 ft2).
