The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLE120EN is an Allen-Bradley compact power supply that belongs to the XLE series of Essential Power Supply product line. This power supply requires minimum mounting space and generates minimal amount of heat.
This power supply is a DIN rail mounted device that is used in general power supply requirements of 24VDC devices. This may be used to power Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) power supply modules, solenoid device, pilot lamps, annunciators, lamps, siren, relays and other applications.
The 1606-XLE120EN is installed in an enclosure that offers protection from entry of solid objects and liquid splashes. It operates in an ambient temperature of -25...+70 °C, >60 °C with derating. When terminating connections to this device, refer to the front panel as the labels are clearly displayed on the upper and bottom part of the device. The DV input is on top of the device while the AC input terminal is located at the bottom. Stripped wires with length of 7mm / 0.275inch and use only solid wires with size range of 0.5-6mm2 or stranded wires which measures 0.5-4mm2.
This power supply is compact yet scalable. It may be installed with accessory components to enable redundancy, buffer and UPS capabilities. XLE series is positioned as the entry level product of the 1606 product category. Other products in this series include XLP series and XLS Power supplies.

The 1606-XLE120EN power supply is a single-phase input device manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is a switched-mode power supply device manufactured in an ultra-small size. It is a cost-optimized power supply with enhanced reliability and performance. It belongs to the Allen-Bradley XLE series and has the essential features for long service life and high reliability. It is a 90 to 132 Volts AC input device and it has a power reserve of 20%. The total power rating of the device is 120 Watts with wire connection type of screw clamp. The 1606-XLE120EN power supply works with 5 Amps of output current but it has adjustable output voltage. Heat generation is minimized in this power supply. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks.
