    Description

This is a DRIED artificial shiitake log that has been used up by a local shiitake mushroom farm. In other words, it is a waste material that is thrown away.
It can be used to feed beetle larvae, millipedes, isopods, etc..
I've been using this to feed my stag beetle and rhinoceros beetle larvae and they love it. I also use this for breeding stag beetles.
The log length varies from 17-19cm and diameter is around 8.3cm.
Before use, submerge the log in water for 20-30 minutes.
Note: This log is prone to molds when wet as it is highly nutritious. Exposure to air allows mold to grow so cover the log the with substrate to minimize mold growth. The mold should naturally disappear within a few days if covered with substrate. In my experience, the mold that grew on the logs were not harmful to my beetle larvae.
